More on Leopard print & Armani May 21, 2009 22:41

Further to my last blog, the upshot of my love of the leopard print is that I’m working on a range of jackets featuring this most delightful fabric, soon to be available on the webshop.
On a different note, though still fashion related, I happened to watch the Armani Privé show spring/ summer 09 the other day on fashion TV and was enthralled. I’m not normally a big fan of Armani, too conventional and conservative for my taste, but this show was truly fantastic. The theme was oriental and architectural with a 40’s noir overtone. Fantastic pencil skirts teamed with incredible fitted jackets that had pagodaesque cuffs and shoulders. I was thinking ‘the upmarket secretary to Ming the Merciless’. Very dark and sexy, and somehow kinky, though I can’t explain how. Perhaps it is because some of the pencil dresses virtually hobbled the models causing them to mince down the catwalk in such a weirdly restrained way that it makes one think about bondage, somehow…?
